Needing new burn-in systems to test x86 microprocessors due to higher leakage technologies, I observed that an entire PC motherboard cost well below commercial test Burn-In ovens.  

I immediately began design, prototype, and ultimately production release of a new architecture for Burn-In testing that was more cost effective and capable than any other units available.

  • Main system architect (Electrical Software, and Mechanical)

  • Design and layout of PCB's

  • Development of custom CAN bus based microcontroller protocol and control systems

  • Writing of all GUI and User-to-machine interface software

  • Oversight of production system builds in Singapore and final installation in Taiwan

  • 360 Simultaneous Devices Under Test (DUT)

  • 45W per device

  • Individual control of test vectors, voltage, current, and temperature

  • Independent test of all devices with up to 360 different simultaneous tests
